PPS membrane switches are a cut above

Biomaster (US) has partnered a leading North American manufacturer to develop a new range of antimicrobial nameplates, overlays, decals, membrane switches and die cut components.

Membrane switches are widely accepted and commonly used to serve as an interface between man and machine. PPS. Inc., an ISO/ITAR certified custom printer and industrial manufacturer located in Olathe, Kansas, is currently working with Biomaster to develop a new line of products that guards against degradation from microorganisms.

The technology works 24/7 for the lifetime of the product.

Sales and Business Development Manager Todd Horttor explains, “We are seeing healthy interest and demand from OEM¹s that see value in providing products that contain an antimicrobial agent to prevent microorganisms from degrading the product.

Membrane switches continue to be a cost effective solution and the addition of Biomaster adds very little cost, if any. We expect this will have a positive impact on our business moving forward.”

PPS overlays and switches can be designed to work in even the most demanding and stringent of environments, incorporating a wide variety of materials and processes. Processes include conventional screen printing, digital imaging, conventional die cutting and digital cutting.

Examples of PPS work can be found in industries that include aerospace, medical, healthcare, automotive, construction equipment, irrigation, and food service, among others.

The company was founded in 1964, and is housed in a modern 50,000 square foot facility that is centrally located in the heart of the American midwest. Their range of services includes light assembly and 100% inspection and test.
