Bytec to launch infection control keyboard at MEDICA

Bytec Healthcare is launching the company’s third generation waterproof medical keyboard protected with Biomaster at MEDICA 2015.

Bytec specialises in IT technology in key commercial sectors where specific physical attributes essential for that technology to be effective – for example, in healthcare environments where infection prevention is paramount.

MEDICA is the world‘s largest medical marketplace annually organised in Düsseldorf.. taking place this year from 16 – 19 November.

The tactile Medi-Key (MK3) waterproof keyboard  is the latest model in the company’s wireless medical keyboard range.  It designed for improved infection control and seamless functionality for healthcare environments. The third generation design features sleek contours and an improved tactile feel, providing a comfortable and easy user experience for both medical staff and patients alike.

Designed for use where infection control is critical, the Medi-Key is fortified with Biomaster pantibacterial protection, which acts as a secondary defence against cross contamination of harmful bacteria such as MRSA and E. coli. Manufactured using hypo-allergenic, latex-free, silicone rubber, the Medi-Key keyboard can be cleaned under running water and is suitable for use with hospital-grade disinfectants.

Bytec Healthcare also manufacture the revolutionary Geni-Tec Intelligent Battery System. This range of batteries, charging units and power options is designed to addresses key issues in the healthcare field including infection control while prioritising ease of use and reliability and is also Biomaster protected.

The Geni-Tec Intelligent Battery System can be integrated with Bytec’s range of medical carts, such as the Geni-Cart, and used as a standalone power system in any healthcare environment. The intelligent system is multi-purpose and can be used to supplement existing battery power, provide uninterrupted power supply or to mobilise otherwise static equipment.

With infection control a critical issue, Bytec Healthcare have developed the Geni-Tec model to promote quick and efficient cleaning within the medical environment. Sealed to IP66, the battery unit is processor controlled and has no “live” terminals when disconnected, meaning it can be safely cleaned or sterilised under running water.  The smooth profile of the case is also easy to wipe down with a damp cloth or sponge for maintenance on the go.
